Chin-Hsing Kuo is affiliated with the School of Engineering at the University of Wollongong, Australia. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from King’s College London and previously held faculty appointments at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. His research concerns the design of mechanisms and robotic systems that exploit mechanical energy stored in springs, weights, and magnets, with particular emphasis on static balancing and gravity compensation, reconfigurable mechanisms, and robot kinematics. He is a Fellow of ASME and serves as Chair of the ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Committee for the 2024–2026 term. He served as Conference Chair of the 45th ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Conference in 2021.
